Community Resilience

Valley Resilience Teams

SVCN coordinates two Resilience Teams in the Snoqualmie Valley. The mission of these community-based groups is to build a resilient Snoqualmie Valley community that is safe, supportive, and connected– where all people can flourish. These teams collaborate to identify and act upon strategies to further promote resiliency within our community.

Riverview Resilient

Riverview Resilient is a community-based initiative that helps people learn how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) affect our lives, and how to apply strategies that help us rise above these affects. The Riverview Resiliency Team focuses on opportunities that connect people, connection being a key strategy for building resilience. For more information, please email maren@svcn.info or see more on https://riverviewresilient.org/

Upper Valley Resilience Team

In fall 2019, the Upper Valley Resilience Team is implementing Handle With Care—a partnership aimed at helping students be successful in school despite traumatic circumstances they may have endured. The program, which originated in West Virginia and has been adopted in many states, will launch in the Snoqualmie Valley School District in partnership with the Upper Snoqualmie Valley Resilience Team, Snoqualmie & North Bend Police, and Snoqualmie Fire Department.
